I've been to hics and I'm just trying to remember the most stimulating group! Today it was peer tbi! We talked more about an article I turned a staff member on to! From a facinating web site, www.brainline.org!I needed something at the tobacco store and I always park my scooter then walk in without any assistance, a staff member saw this and said to me. What if you fall? I couldn't think quick enough to give him the right answer so I said I won't fall. The right answer is, I'll just get up! I learned early in therapy how to get back up if I fall! When I showed my pt he was very impressed!:)
I'm a 54 year old man and a survivor of a traumatic brain injury which caused a 3.5 month coma!I beat prostate cancer too :)!
